Our 1st year apprentices are down in Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Athlone today as part of their Introduction to Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) Technology and Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing in the workshop. They will complete 3 days of workshops over the next few weeks. As part of this module, the students will be introduced to basic construction, function, and operating principles of the main components of a HGV and CVRT. On completion, the driver apprentice will gain a practical knowledge of modern heavy goods vehicle systems and technologies. The apprentices will apply their newly learnt knowledge and complete an ePortfolio for submission for completion of the module. Many thanks to TUS Athlone for facilitating these workshops in their brilliant facilities. Wishing the apprentices the best of luck with their remaining workshops.
