Kinderhilfe Zweibrücken e.V. makes an indispensable contribution to supporting families in need living the region. Three times a week, the association provides more than 200 families, i.e. around 400 needy people, with food and the bare necessities. Remarkably, two thirds of the beneficiaries are children and young people. #ChildAid #SupportingNeedyFamilies #HelpForChildren   For anyone with children, it is unimaginable and deeply disturbing that children and young people suffer from hunger in Germany today. Personal post alert... and it is a bit hard hitting ❓ Did you know that the average age of death for people experiencing homelessness is 46 for men and 42 for women... ❔ Homeless people are over nine times more likely to take their own life than the general population. ❓ People sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence. More than one in three people sleeping rough have been deliberately hit or kicked or experienced some other form of violence whilst homeless. People have even been set on FIRE. ❔ The statistics show that one third of care leavers become homeless in the first two years immediately after they leave care and 25% of homeless people have been in care at some point in their lives. I am not only a care leaver, but have personally been homeless and at risk of homelessness many times in my younger years – so raising money for this great cause is also somewhat personal. All donations are so very much appreciated, and I am looking forward to seeing just how much I (we) can raise this year! 🙏
