Founder & CHRO, Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneur 2021, leadership coach, author, speaker, WPO chapter chair, HR Expert
In our quest for effective leadership, it's time to question the efficacy of traditional training models. Shockingly, while a vast majority of U.S. companies invest in conventional leadership training, only a fraction sees a real improvement in leadership capabilities. This disconnect raises a critical question: Are we misdirecting our efforts? Leadership development needs to evolve beyond the confines of standard workshops and seminars. It's about immersive experiences that challenge and reshape thinking patterns, decision-making processes, and adaptability. As strategic HR leaders, we have a pivotal role in this transformation. It’s not just about knowledge transfer; it's about fostering a mindset of continual growth and resilience. Are our leadership training programs genuinely impactful, or have they become mere formalities? We need to align our development strategies with real-world challenges, ensuring that we're not just creating managers, but nurturing inspiring, innovative leaders. #LeadershipTraining #HRInnovation #FutureLeaders

Leadership is a vision, and strategic leadership is a compass for first-line managers to achieve organizational success. Our recent training program focused on cultivating strategic leadership skills among these managers. Through interactive sessions, real-world examples, and case studies, we provided them with the necessary tools to align vision, strategy, and execution. We emphasised critical thinking, leading through influence, leading change and navigating conflict. Using these skills, we also urged the FLM team to focus on Team Success planning. The positive feedback from participants reflects their increased confidence in thinking strategically and leading their teams towards success. Organisations foster innovation, drive growth, and establish themselves as industry leaders by investing in strategic leadership. Congratulations to our program graduates for embracing a holistic view of leadership and their commitment to continued success to help Alcon fulfil its mission of helping people ¨SEE BRILLIANTLY #LeadershipDevelopment #StrategicLeadership #LEAD BRILLIANTLY

At Allianz Technology we care about people. And for that, we need leaders who care about people. That is why we created and launched #leadrefuel program for all managers who want to be refuelled by new and effective leadership skills tools: 》4 groups of 12 leaders sharing and discussing their challenges. 》2 business coaches driving them to new perspectives through Leadership methods and behaviours tools. 》8 weeks support with continuous peer connections and chats. 》Engagement actions defined every week to apply tangible changes in communications and behaviours. As a former HR directors, we’ve created award-winning leadership development programmes. But there was always something missing. They didn’t start by helping leaders to REALLY understand themselves. Now there would be some self/team-awareness activities. But the work needed to go deeper. We're talking about repeatedly looking inwards as a way of being. This is critical if you want to be a world-class leader. And it’s is exactly why we set up The Conscious Leadership Company - TCLC Our whole approach revolves around helping leaders be more self-aware. Not only does this enable them to perform at their best, but it impacts everyone around them too. What’s the best piece of advice you would give to your younger self about how to be a great leader? In a recent study of 1,008 employees and 500 HR decision-makers, 49.9% of HR leaders said that 'finding the time for leaders to develop their skills' was the main barrier to implementing leadership development (see link in the comments). Do you agree? What do you find stops leadership development? From my perspective, development programmes need to be measurable and demonstrate ROI to senior leaders in order to achieve the buy-in required to run them. One of the main ways to achieve this is by incorporating reliable, research-backed diagnostics assessments and tools into development programmes - making them ‘hard’ as opposed to ‘soft’ so that senior leaders can take them seriously. What do you think? What stops us from developing our leadership potential? https://lnkd.in/eyK4DbRT #People #LeadershipDevelopment #Leaders #EmotionalIntelligence #HR #learninganddevelopment

Strengthening Leaders & Organizations Through DEI, Emotional Intelligence, & Intercultural Competence
Identifying and nurturing future leaders is a common challenge for organizations. Even after 20 years in the field of Learning & Development, I’m surprised by how few organizations have solid and comprehensive leadership development programs in place to address the needs they have today and those that they’ll have in the future.
